The economy crumbles and natural disasters increase;
gas prices
spike and morals drop; political and social decay are rampant;
terrorism at home and abroad threaten our freedom and people
look towards the future with fear and uncertainty.
The prophecies of Daniel & Revelation dispel all these fears as
they reveal to us why these things are happening and how we are
to respond to them. These Christ centered messages not only
give
us a ‘heads up’ about how our world will end, but also will tell
us the part that we are going to play in it. Concerning the book
of Revelation, the Bible says: “Blessed is he who reads and
those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things
which are written in it; for the time is near.” Get ready for an
abundant blessing as you Explore Prophecy!

The Battle for your Mind
The
mind must be firmly controlled to dwell upon subjects that will strengthen the
moral powers. The youth should begin early to cultivate correct habits of
thought. We should discipline the mind to think in a healthful channel, and not
permit it to dwell upon things that are evil.

Studies in Daniel
As we near the close of this world's
history, the prophecies recorded by Daniel demand our special
attention, as they relate to the very time in which we are
living. With them should be linked the teachings of the last
book of the New Testament Scriptures. (PK 547)
God
has chosen a people who are to proclaim the
third angel's
message to the world. They are to be a separate and peculiar
people in this world of churches who are transgressing his
commandments. We have a special work to do to prepare the people
for the greatest event the world has ever seen. The books of
Daniel and Revelation are of great consequence to us, and should
be studied with great earnestness. (RH, June 21, 1898 par. 38)
The
prophecies of Daniel and the Revelation should be carefully
studied, and in connection with them the words, "Behold the Lamb
of God, which taketh away the sin of the world." [John 1:29.] (GW
148)

Studies in Revelation
"In view of the revelation made
to John on the isle of Patmos, which from the
opening of the first chapter to the close of the
last chapter, is light, great light, revealed to
us by Jesus Christ, who chose John to be the
channel through whom this light was to shine
forth to the world..." Testimonies to Ministers

Revive Our Hearts, Oh Lord
"A revival
of true Godliness among us
is the greatest and most urgent of all our needs. To seek this
should be our first work." --1SM 121.
Revival means awakening, stimulating the life, bringing it to
the surface.
"A revival and reformation must take place under the
ministration of the Holy Spirit."
Revival
means searching our hearts and realize our unworthiness before a
Holy God. Like the publican depicted by our Lord in the parable,
we are so conscious of our sinful condition, beating our breasts
and saying, "God have mercy on me, a sinner."
We
prostrate ourselves and cast ourselves upon the love and mercy
and compassion of God.

The Rumbling of the Roman Army
(Sunday Law)
“The substitution
of the laws of men for the law of God, the exaltation, by merely human
authority, of Sunday in place of the Bible Sabbath, is
the last act in the drama.
When this substitution becomes universal, God will reveal Himself. He will arise
in His majesty to shake terribly the earth.” Testimonies, vol. 7, p. 141.

The
Christian Quest
The Christian life is a battle and a
march. We are to press forward, showing to the world, to angels, and to men that
the hope of seeing the face of God is worth all the efforts and the sacrifices
that the attainment of the hope demands. . . . "I count not myself yet to have
laid hold:
but one thing I do, forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching
forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal unto the
prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 3:13, 14,
A.S.V.).
The Christian pilgrim does not yield to the desire to rest. He moves steadily
forward, saying, The day is far spent; the night is at hand. This is his motto:
"Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow
after. . . . I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do,
forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things
which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of
God in Christ Jesus."

Science of Salvation
"The sanctuary in
heaven is the very center of Christ's work in behalf of men. It
concerns every soul living upon the earth. It opens to view the
plan of redemption, bringing us down to the very close of time
and revealing the triumphant issue of the contest between
righteousness and sin.
"It is of the utmost importance that all should thoroughly
investigate these subjects and be able to give an answer to
everyone that asketh them a reason of the hope that is in them."

Identity Wars
A revival of true godliness among us is the greatest and most
urgent of all our needs. To seek this should be our first work.
There must be earnest effort to obtain the blessing of the Lord,
not because God is not willing to bestow His blessing upon us,
but because we are unprepared to receive it. Our heavenly Father
is more willing to give His Holy Spirit to them that ask Him,
than are earthly parents to give good gifts to their children.
But it is our work, by confession, humiliation, repentance, and
earnest prayer, to fulfill the conditions upon which God has
promised to grant us His blessing. A revival need be expected
only in answer to prayer. (Selected Messages, bk. 1, p. 121)

Fishers of Men
"One worker who has been trained and educated for the work, who
is controlled by the Spirit of Christ, will accomplish far more
than ten laborers who go out deficient in knowledge, and weak in
the faith. One who works in harmony with the counsel of God, and
in unity with the brethren, will be more efficient to do good,
than ten will be who do not realize the necessity of depending
upon God, and of acting in harmony with the general plan of the
work." Review and Herald, May 29, 1888.
"In the commission to His disciples, Christ not only outlined
their work but gave them their message. Teach the people, He
said, "to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you."
The disciples were to teach what Christ had taught. That which
He had spoken, not only in person, but through all the prophets
and teachers of the Old Testament, is here included. Human
teachings is shut out. There is no place for tradition, for
man's theories and conclusions, or for church legislation. No
laws ordained by ecclesiastical authority are included in the
commission. None of these are Christ's servants to teach. "The
law and the prophets," with the record of His own words and
deeds, are the treasure committed to the disciples to be given
to the world. . . . The gospel is to be presented, not as a
lifeless theory, but as a living force to change the life. God
desires that the receivers of His grace shall be witnesses to
its power." The Desire of Ages, p. 826. (1898)
“Let the members of the church have increased faith, gaining
zeal from their unseen, heavenly allies, from knowledge of their
exhaustless resources, from the greatness of the enterprise in
which they are engaged, and from the power of their Leader.
Those who place themselves under God's control, to be led and
guided by Him, will catch the steady tread of the events
ordained by Him to take place. Inspired with the Spirit of Him
who gave His life for the life of the world, they will no longer
stand still in impotency, pointing to what they cannot do.
Putting on the armor of heaven, they will go forth to the
warfare willing to do and dare for God, knowing that His
omnipotence will supply their need.” Christian Service, p. 77
Every church should be a training school for Christian workers.
Its members should be taught how to give Bible readings, how to
conduct and teach Sabbath school classes, how best to help the
poor and to care for the sick, how to work for the unconverted.
This course will take
you through the simple, yet practical steps of becoming actively
involved in many different ministries, but particularly by
sharing God’s word through Bible study ministries. Although
there are many ways of sharing our faith which we will also
explore, God has especially called upon us to open His word and
share His truth with others. As you will learn and apply the
principles taught in the course to your life, you will be
enormously blessed. Your church will grow and God’s Kingdom will
be advanced.
